Sufficient quantity of water at an adequate pressure shall be available for any sprinkler system. The effective capacity of the reservoir (above the level of foot valve seat or the level of top of pump) shall be as indicated.
Example of AMAO (non-rectangular)
The equilibrium water velocity shall not exceed 6 m/sec at any valve or flow monitoring device or 10 m/sec at any other point in the system for the stabilized flow condition at the demand point involving an AMAO.
