Check Points Observations
Contactor/ Vendor Client
Check the wiring diagram in conjunction with conduit layout
Check that Size of conduit is right for number of wires to be drawn through
Check that the material & insulation class of wires is as per specification
Ensure no two phases run through same conduit
Ensure right colour of wires used for right phase (R- Red, Y- Yellow, B- Blue, Black – Neutral, Green – Earth)
Ensure conductor will have no joints in conduits & junction boxes (i.e. Conductor will run continuous from outlet)
Ensure correct phase load balancing
Check the coordinated routing of conduits in relation to other services
Ensure conduits run in true horizontal / vertical runs and do not criss cross
Ensure spacing between conduit to conduit are evenly distributed and would accommodate enough space for junction boxes
Check if conduits are clamped at 1.5mtr for vertical run and 600mm for horizontal run
Ensure last stretch of conduit (from hard structure to false ceiling) is flexible conduit
Ensure wire through flexible conduit gets terminated at a connector. Ensure that connector could be lowered down through false ceiling cut-out along with Light fitting for maintenance
Ensure the Electrical & Mechanical Continuity in case of MS Conduits.
AVOID plain slip or pin-grip sockets. In case of screwed conduit, lock nuts must be used.
Ensure back boxes are fixed as per co-ordinates given by interior designer
Ensure boxes would be flush to finished surface
Check boxes location for any fire hazard finishes / material
Check size of boxes in relation to receptacles to be mounted
Ensure switches, sockets, flush plates, lighting fixtures are as per interior design details and in conjunction with electrical engineering safety, user and maintenance friendly
Check if wires are terminated properly
Check whether wires are clamped / bunched inside panels and numbered in DB’s
Megger test the wire and ferrule
General remarks, if any
