1 SITE DEVELOPMENT AND EARTH WORK
1.1 Excavation below excavated levels of pit already excavated by other Contractor
1.1.1 All kinds of soils excluding rock for all leads and lifts (By Mechanical and Manual means as required) Cum. 120 120
1.2 Excavation in foundation trenches from existing natural ground level
1.2.1

Earth work in excavation in foundation trenches, Columns pits or under grade/ raft slab etc from existing natural ground level and stacking the excavated material within the Site or adjacent plots and disposing of surplus excavated earth to authorized dumping ground including dressing of bottom, sides strutting, timbering, shoring, trimming of sides dewatering, removing sludge (if any) for all leads and lifts, incidentals, royalty etc. complete in all respect with ramming of bottom, surface preparation as per specifications to receive the PCC. Excavation shall be payable only for vertical cut up to the outer edge of foundation lean concrete as indicated in drawings for all depths. Cost of extra excavation required for working space, supporting side shuttering of foundations and retaining walls and that required for making slopes for stability of excavation shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted.

(Note: The Line & levels in the drawings shall be strictly followed and over excavation if any shall be made good by contractor free of cost as per the instructions of the Owner) To organize the space for stacking of excavated earth for using the same in back filling will be responsibility of the contractor only. Contractor shall dispose surplus excavated earth to authorised dumping ground.

1.2 Surface excavation
1.2.1 Earth work in surface excavation (surface dressing) 300 mm depth, including leveling, making good without any undulations, consolidating etc. disposal of earth as directed within the site for all leads & lifts. Sqm. 45 45
1.3 Earth Filling
1.3.1 Filling with selected, suitable excavated earth (excluding rock) already available at Site in plinths, back of retaining walls, foundations and trenches and spreading the remaining soil for specified location as directed by the Owner and shall be done in layers, not exceeding 20 cm in depth and consolidating each deposited layer by mechanical means, ramming and watering up to 95% proctor density as per specifications including re-excavation, transportation, loading, unloading, carriage to dumping spot and all incidentals at all depth, levels for all leads and lifts complete in all respect. (Net consolidated area fill volume will be computed from the initial and final levels). Note: filling shall be done by the excavated earth available at Site or adjacent plots stacked by the Contractor and/ or by the Owner. Rate to include cost of proctor density test as per CPWD specifications. Cum. 95 95
1.3.2 Filling with selected, suitable excavated earth (excluding rock) brought from outside from Owner's designated place, in plinths, back of retaining walls, foundations and trenches and spreading the remaining soil for specified location as directed by the Owner and shall be done in layers, not exceeding 20 cm in depth and consolidating each deposited layer by mechanical means, ramming and watering up to 95% proctor density as per specifications including re-excavation, transportation, loading, unloading, carriage to dumping spot and all incidentals at all depth, levels for all leads and lifts complete in all respect. (Net consolidated area fill volume will be computed from the initial and final levels). Note: filling shall be done by the excavated earth available at Site or adjacent plots stacked by the Contractor and/ or by the Owner. Rate to include cost of proctor density test as per CPWD specifications. Cum. 150 150
1.3.3 Supply good/ sweet earth brought from out side the site and filling/ spreading the same in landscaping and other location as directed by the Owner and shall be done in layers, not exceeding 20cm in depth and consolidating each deposited layer by ramming, dressing and watering as per specifications and as directed by Owner including transportation, cost of soil, royalty, road permits & taxes, loading, unloading, carriage to dumping spot and all incidentals at all depths and levels, for all leads and lifts complete (Net consolidated area fill volume will be computed from the initial and final levels. Volume in slopes, embankments etc. will be computed applying appropriate formula, as per CPWD specification). Cum. 250 250
1.4 Sand Filling
1.4.1 Supplying and filling in plinth with fine sand under floors, including watering, ramming, consolidating and dressing complete in all respect as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge Cum. 1250 1250
1.5 Anti-termite treatment
Note: The work must be executed by approved specialised Agency who is the member of IPCA. The Contractor shall give a 10 years guarantee on non-judicial stamp paper as per instruction of Owner/Engineer-in-charge
1.5.1 Providing and injecting chemical emulsion for pre-constructional anti-termite treatment and creating a chemical barrier under and all-round the column pits, wall trenches, top surface of plinth filling, junction of wall and floor along the external perimeter of building, expansion joints, surroundings of pipes and conduits etc. complete With Imidachloropid E.C. 20% with 1% concentration. (Anti-termite work shall be carried out as per technical Specifications and direction of Engineer In Charge).
a. For horizontal area (plinth area at ground floor level will be measured and paid for ) Sqm. 80 80

1.6 Dewatering
Dewatering of basement excavation with well point method ( the quoted rate shall including providing detail design and getting it approved from the Architect / PMC,all piping, equipments, running cost like disel, operators etc. all required for total operation.) Per hour/per HP 45 45
