The quality control plan shall be established separately in two parts for each project which includes:
A. The listing, scheduling and formats of quality activities requiring the presence and mandatory approval of the client and quality control records to assure the compliance with the standards and technical specifications of the contract.
B. The outlines of quality control activities to assure the compliance with procedures, specifications, codes of practice and engineering standards pertaining to any part of the project.
The quality control plan for each project shall include description, list and formats of quality control activities.
Quality control manager shall organize the quality control activities in three major categories:
A. Quality control of materials
B. Quality control of workers
C. Quality control of execution
Any material received at site shall be checked immediately for compliance with type and specification of the material ordered and technical specification of the material. Materials with defects shall be returned or separately stored and shall not be permitted in construction.
Laboratory test results or conformity certificates shall be checked during the first acceptance of the delivery.
Quality of the ordered material / equipment as per procurement procedure shall be checked and certified by using material inspection form.
The quality of semi raw materials produced at jobsite such as concrete shall be checked either in the site laboratory or registered approval laboratories. All laboratory testing instruments and tools at site will be checked periodically and will be calibrated if necessary / calibration certificates shall be kept by quality control manager.
Either certified by office personnel employment department to check their qualification and capabilities if employed for the first time, by short-term testing at the jobsite assigned for qualification testing by the quality coordinator.
Or shall be deployed with their work performance records in the previous projects to provide proper allocation in the project in accordance with his qualification.
Workers for certain groups requiring regular qualification test such as welder, crane operators shall not be deployed without their previous qualification test records test certificate issued in testing jobsite.
Final test certificate for acceptance to work shall be performed at the project site witnessed by the quality manager.
Regular testing of mentioned worker groups shall be coordinated, certified and recorded by quality control manager.
Originals of test certificates and performance records shall be kept by quality control continuous filing and future acknowledgment.
